Janis Fulton has been a visual artist forever, but started painting in 2000. She paints her natural surroundings and urban scenes by using vibrant colors and textures in acrylics. She paints outside and in studio, from sketches and photographs, using brushes to bring energy to her works. She likes to paint in the company of artists during frequent trips to Quebec and in Ontario.
Educated in interior design, Janis wanted to use her creative potential in a personal way. She has taken many classes and studied personally for 7 years. She is a member of Artist and the Ottawa Art Association (OAA). She has taken part in frequent group shows since 2002.
Janis is Co-organizer of Gallerie de la Rive at the Jardins Belle Rive in Rockland, ON. She also exposes her works at the Cafe Resonance in Navan and takes part in area art shows on weekends.
