Fascinating faces, serene landscapes, moody still lifes, animals and family pets, all are sources for painting inspiration in oil and other mediums. I try to capture the feeling of my subject matter by concentrating on the play of light and shadow over forms.

I grew up in Brantford, Ontario with a reverence for and love of nature. Educated at the University of Waterloo, I taught for many years in Southern Ontario before moving to Ottawa and starting to paint full-time 5 years ago. Presently my paintings are at the Ottawa Little Theatre, Gallery Old Chelsea, and in private collections. I am a member of the Ottawa Art Association, Orleans Studio Tour Group, Plein Air Ensemble  and Painting Buddies Plein Air Group and try to learn more about art, nature and myself every day.
