Born in England, Rosy has been painting since she was little. She studied Fine Arts and English literature, and worked as a graphic artist before immigrating in Canada in 1996.

Rosy paints with oil, acrylic resin and watercolour, and teaches watercolour.

Rosy says: " Painting for me is meditation. I adore the challenges that these various mediums present, differences in their use and particular to each one, contrasts of their control and their unpredictability and the total concentration that they require. I like the tension which I feel when I follow the rules I learned and also to give free rein to my intuition. I work in both my workshop and in the open air. I believe that all creations natural or artificial, animated or inert have a soul that defines them in a unique way. While working with dark and brilliant colors, the forms, textures, the defined and the undefined, I hope to bring a bit of soul to these creations in my work.”
